The Seno Woodland Education Center is hosting a Spring Woodland Rendezvous, on Saturday, May 18, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, and on Sunday, May 19, from 9:00 am to 3:00pm. A rendezvous is a living historical event where participants celebrate the lives and achievements of our ancestors.
Dressed in historically authentic garb and using only historically authentic reproductions of the shelters and tools, they reenact the historical gatherings of frontiersmen and their families exchanging goods and services and enjoying the company of new and old friends. You will see a pioneer rendezvous compete with a variety of historically authentic games of skill, pioneer crafts, and trading items. Visitors will see and visit with the pioneers at their campsites as the take a leisurely walk around the beautiful Seno forest trails. Some of the skills demonstrated include wooden toy making, flax processing, woodworking, yarn spinning, trapping, frontier surveyor, music and games.
Admission is $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children 12 and under.
