At about 1:13 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and Paris Fire and Rescue are responding to a report of a brush fire in the 21600 block of 18th Street.
Kansasville Fire Department units are already on the scene. About one acre of land is burning. Fire is reportedly not near buildings. Kansasville called for mutual aid from Salem and Paris.
Salem is being asked to respond with a tender (tanker) and Paris with a brush truck.
UPDATE 1:21 p.m. — Kansasville command now reports to dispatch that four acres involved.
UPDATE about 1:45 p.m. — Kansasville command reports fires out.
UPDATE about 2:20 p.m. — All units clearing the scene.
