Units responding to crash in Salem

At 7:38 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash in the 8200 block of Fox River Road in Salem.

Crash involves two pick-up trucks that reportedly hit head-on, dispatch reports. Air bags have deployed in the vehicles.

UPDATE 7:48 p.m. — First fire units on scene reports heavy traffic.

UPDATE 7:57 p.m. — Deputy calling for tow for vehicle with heavy front end damage.

UPDATE 7:59 p.m. — Deputy calling for tow for other vehicle, a large truck with a dump box on back. Heavy front end damage for this one too. Both vehicles will need flatbed tows.

UPDATE 8:15 p.m. — One person being transported by ambulance to hospital.
