UPDATE: Fox River crest forecast revised higher again; may reach 15 feet

The most recent National Weather Service forecast for the Fox River now calls for a crest of 15 feet at the New Munster gauge, coming early Saturday morning.

The highest crest on record is 15.18 feet, recorded on June 15, 2008. A crest of 15 feet would be the second highest.

UPDATE 10:21 p.m. — Forecast has been nudged up a bit more to 15.2 feet. That would be the highest on record if it is reached.
