Salem School has been raising money for the American Heart Association through the Red Out program. Goals and incentives were established to help get the kids excited about this endeavor, such as Principal Ben Walshire wearing a dress and Principal Eileen Bruton wearing a suit and tie if enough money was raised. But the really big motivation came from  gym teachers Chris Seymour and John Stewart offering to have their heads shaved if students reached what seemed like the almost impossible goal of raising $10,000. Well students actually raised over $13,000. And after a little on the part of Stewart — who even D.A.R.E. Deputy Ray Rowe couldn’t find at first — the teachers did submit to a thorough removal of their hair to the delight of the students. Here’s some video: Here are some more photos.
