At about 1:25 p.m., Paris Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highways 142 and 45 in Paris.
UPDATE 1:27 p.m. — Crash scene is actually on Highway 142 about half a mile east of Highway 45. A silver car is off the road and has struck a tree.
UPDATE 1:28 p.m. — Driver is conscious but may have an ankle injury, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 1:33 p.m. — Bristol dispatched to respond as mutual aid with an engine.
UPDATE 1:35 p.m. — Deputy calling for tow truck. Says vehicle has heavy front end damage and is about 75 feet off the road.
UPDATE 1:48 p.m. — Flight for Life medical transport helicopter responding.
UPDATE 1:59 p.m. — Flight for Life estimated time of arrival is 11 minutes.

UPDATE 2:51 p.m. — Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Sgt. Bil Beth released the following information: Today at 1:22 p.m., Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputies responded with Town of Paris Fire and Rescue to a single vehicle injury crash on STH 142 (Burlington Rd.) about .5 miles east of USH 45. The driver of a 2007 Hyundai failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway while traveling Eastbound on STH 142. The vehicle traveled about 250 feet off of the roadway and hit a tree. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle. She is a Kansasville resident and 67 years old. The driver sustained probable broken ankles and possible abdominal injuries. Flight for Life was summoned and landed at the Paris Safety Building. The driver was transported to Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it may have been a driver medical condition.
