Silver Lake hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt today at Schmalfeldt Park.
The festivities started out with Mr. Easter Bunny being transported to the park on a Silver Lake Fire Department truck.
Snow still on the ground at the park offered a new twist. But organizers put the snow to work for them, sectioning off the areas for various age groups by spray painting bright colored boundaries right on the snow. Egg hunters searched in those areas by age. Those who found a golden egg won a special prize.
