Randall man dies in early morning crash

Edward F. Gureczny of Randall died  in a crash on 98th Street in Randall, shortly after midnight today.

From a statement released by the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department:

On 03-12-13 at 0022 hours Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a fatal crash that occurred in the 34200 block of 98th St in the Town of Randall. A Village of Twin Lakes Police Officer had seen a silver Chevy Trail Blazer traveling at a speed that appeared to be above the posted speed limit in the Village of Twin Lakes. That officer lost sight of the vehicle, which was traveling in the opposite direction. The Twin Lakes officer found the vehicle had crashed into a tree in the 34200 block of 98th St. a few minutes later and notified the Sheriff’s Department, as the crash had occurred in our jurisdiction. The fatally injured driver was identified as Edward F. Gureczny of the Town of Randall. … The driver did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt.”

Randall Fire Department units also responded to the scene, said Capt. Bob Stoll, Randall Fire Department spokesman.
