Just back in a little bit ago (around 8 p.m.) from driving between Twin Lakes and Paddock Lake.
Rain required me to use the highest setting on the wipers at times. Little patches of fog were low and not a major problem. I experienced heavy rain overflow on Highway F in two spots along the west side of Silver Lake in Salem.
A fellow member of the media told me she was seeing water pooling on roads and Twin Lakes police officers were reporting road flooding in the area of Esch Road. Twin Lakes dispatch reports that crews from Public Works and the Sewer Department will be getting out to check on flooding and sewer lift station alarms.
The National Weather Service forecast says the rain could change to snow or something in between any time now.
