The Sheriff’s Department is seeking information regarding a fire Wednesday at a vacant Lake Shangri-la home in Bristol.
The fire is considered suspicious in nature due to the house in the 21100 block of 116th St. (Highway V) being unoccupied. It is unknown if the fire was intentional, a statement released by the Sheriff’s Department said. Anyone has any information regarding the case is asked to call the Kenosha Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at 605-5102.
The fire originated in the fireplace at the abandoned home, and apparently local residents have noticed youths entering the dwelling, the statement said. The home was recently foreclosed and empty.
No one was injured in the fire, which drew firefighters from 13 departments.
