A Burlington man died Sunday night as the result of a crash on Highway W in Wheatland.
From a statement from Sgt. Bill Beth, Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department spokesman:
On 02-3-13 at approximately 2200 hours Deputies responded with Silver Lake Rescue, Wheatland First Responders and Wheatland Fire to a single vehicle crash in the 4000 block of 328th (CTH W). A 2005 Toyota driven by John Engberg, (28 years old, City of Burlington resident) left the road and struck a utility pole. Engberg was fatally injured in the crash. Flight for Life was notified, however, could not take off due to the weather conditions. Silver Lake Rescue transported Engberg to Burlington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The roads were snow covered at the time of the incident. … Engberg was the sole occupant of the vehicle.”
