UPDATE: 1 inch of snow on the ground: cars in ditches

snowword-mf-jdurham-webAt 6 a.m., we measured one inch of snow on the ground at westofthei.com headquarters in Paddock Lake. It was dry, light, easy to shovel snow.

The National Weather Service forecast says snow will continue to fall today, mostly before noon. Daytime accumulation of less than half an inch.

There’s just a 20 percent of additional snow tonight, but a 90 percent chance of snow Tuesday, mostly before 3 p.m. Accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Temperatures continue to moderate, with highs forecast at 22 for today, 28 Tuesday, 31 Wednesday and 36 Thursday.

UPDATE 7:18 a.m. — At least two cars in ditches being reported — one on Highway 50 one on Highway MB.

UPDATE 7:23 a.m. — Deputy responding to report of a car spun out and in the ditch on Highway W.
