As rain turns to snow this morning we could see 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation today, the National Weather Service forecast says.
Any precipitation should be all snow by 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, all of the moisture over the last day or so has the Fox River rising. The river at 5 a.m. was at 9.13 feet. Action stage is 9 feet and flood stage is 10 feet. The NWS is forecasting that the river will be over flood stage about 6 p.m. today.
Temperatures are continuing to drop from yesterday’s balmy values. Tonight’s low is forecast at 8 with blowing snow. Thursday’s high is forecast at 15 and Friday’s high at 9.
