Western Kenosha County Tennis Association to host winter programs

wkcta-logoThe Western Kenosha County Tennis Association will be hosting a tennis program this Winter for children ages 5-7.

Whether you have played in one of our Summer tennis programs at the Central High School courts, this new program is designed to teach/enhance the basic skills of tennis. The mini-tennis nets and either foam or low compression tennis balls are used.

  • Who: 5-7 year olds
  • When: Sunday, Feb. 10, 17, 24 and March 3 (1:00pm – 2:00pm)
  • Where: Bristol Grade School, Large (East) Gym, 20121 83rd Street, Bristol
  • Equipment: You will need gym shoes. No street shoes allowed.

You will want to make sure you have an age-appropriate racquet for your child. Either a 21 inch of 23 inch racquet is recommended. If you don’t have or can’t buy one in advance, you can obtain one from WKCTA for $15 and pay during the on-line registration process below. The 4 session program fee is $35. A maximum of 32 participants will be accepted into the program. WKCTA reserves the right to cancel the program and your registration fee will be refunded in full.

After beginning with a warm-up drills, players will focus on competitive tennis play. Rules and strategies will be introduced. Play will take place using the mini-tennis nets and low compression tennis balls.

  • Who: 8-10 year olds.
  • When: Sunday, Feb. 10, 17, 24 and March 3 (2:00pm – 3:00pm).
  • Where: Bristol Grade School, Large (East) Gym, 20121 83rd Street, Bristol.
  • Equipment: You will need gym shoes. No street shoes allowed.
