Winter storm watch cancelled; now winter weather advisory

The National Weather Service has withdrawn a winter storm watch for Sunday that was issued earlier today and replaced it with a winter storm advisory, indicating an expectation of less intense weather expected.

The latest Sunday forecast for here now calls for “snow likely, possibly mixed with sleet between noon and 3 pm, then freezing rain and sleet, possibly mixed with snow.” Chance of precipitation in some form is 100 percent.

There’s more weather news farther down the forecast. The current warming trend is expected to peak at 55 degrees on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it’s likely to be wet from Sunday night through Tuesday as well.
