Units responding to crash on State Line Road

At 7:15 a.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue units are responding to a report of a crash in the 13500 block of State Line Road along the Illinois-Wisconsin border.

Dispatch reports that one vehicle involved. It has struck a pole and is partially on fire. Occupant may be trapped inside. Scene is in Lake County but Wisconsin units are assisting.

UPDATE 7:19 a.m. — Flight for Life medical transport helicopter being requested and landing zone being established.

UPDATE 7:31 a.m. — Flight for Life estimated time of arrival is 21 minutes.

UPDATE about 7:45 a.m. — Flight for Life cancelled. Patient to be transported by ambulance to a Lake County hospital.

UPDATE 7:58 a.m. — Bristol fire units are returning to quarters. deputy at the scene reports that the crash is in Kenosha County. Deputy also requests a salt truck for ice on the road from fire trucks.

UPDATE 8:02 a.m. — Deputy calls for tow truck. Deputy reports that driver was eastbound at time of crash and hit a tree.

    They really need to keep that road salted it has been horrible many days!!!
