Six school board elections to be uncontested

Six Western Kenosha County School Districts will have uncontested races for school board seats in the April 2 spring election.

They are:

  • Trevor-Wilmot School: Only incumbent Cole Marshall filed candidacy papers.
  • Wilmot High School: Two incumbents, Marcie Badtke and Wayne Trongeau, were the only people who filed candidacy papers.
  • Wheatland Center School: Incumbents Mary Ochoa-Petersen and Chris Serak were the only people who filed candidacy papers.
  • Brighton School: Incumbent Mark Salerno filed paperwork for Treasurer and Linda Perona filed paperwork for president. Judy Uhlenhake, incumbent board president, earlier filed paperwork for non candidacy.
  • Randall School: Sarah Nettis filed candidacy papers for the one available seat. Incumbent Jim O’Connell earlier filed non-candidacy.
  • Paris School, which we already reported on separately, also is uncontested.
