At 8:21 p.m., units from Bristol Fire and Rescue and Salem Fire/Rescue along with sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a structure fire in the 25100 block of 83rd Place in Salem.
A caller to dispatch says it is a garage that is on fire with flames showing. There is reportedly a propane tank inside.
UPDATE 8:25 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports that garage is detached and is fully engulfed in fire.
UPDATE 8:25 p.m. — Silver Lake Fire Department being requested to respond with a tender.
UPDATE 8:27 p.m. — Deputy reports that there are four or five propane tanks lined up along the garage. Deputies evacuating neighboring homes.
UPDATE 8:53 p.m. — Firefighters beginning overhaul process in which they make sure the fire is completely out.
