Two Wheatland incumbents will not run for re-election

Two Wheatland town official incumbents have filed for notification saying they will not run for re-election.

Robert E. Herda, town supervisor, and Bob Haas, town constable, filed notifications of non-candidacy in early December, town Clerk Sheila Seigler reports. Today was the deadline for filing a non-candidacy notification.

Herda subsequently died on Dec. 7.

That means town Chairman Bill Glembocki, supervisor Tom Lois, Treasurer Deborah Vos and Siegler apparently intend to run fro re-election in April.

Those wishing to run for town offices have until Jan. 2 to gather petition signatures and file the required paperwork.
