The latest National Weather Service forecast for the area calls for the long-anticipated snow here to begin changing over from rain after 4 p.m. today. Total snow accumulation during the day should be one inch.
Tonight the real snow begins, with an accumulation of an additional one to two inches forecast (that’s less than was being forecast yesterday). Friday will open with blowing snow before noon and colder temperatures (high of 27).
The NWS still has the area under a winter storm warning from 5 p.m today until 3 a.m. Friday.
