At 12:15 p.m., Town of Wheatland Fire Department and Silver Lake Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highway 50 and Highway 83-north in Wheatland.
UPDATE 12:18 p.m. — Deputy on scene reports that two vehicle are involved. One is off the road in a swampy are and is fully engulfed in fire. The other vehicle is smoking. Everyone is believed to be out of the vehicles. Three patients are reporting head injuries.
UPDATE 12:20 p.m. — A second ambulance from Silver Lake Rescue is being dispatched.
UPDATE 12:21 p.m. — Burlington Rescue Squad unit also responding.
UPDATE 12:26 p.m. — Ambulance being dispatched from Salem Fire/Rescue.
UPDATE 12:31 p.m. — Flight for Life medical transport helicopter being called to respond.
UPDATE 12:41 p.m. — Flight on the ground at landing zone.
UPDATE 12:43 p.m. — Patient being transported from the scene to the landing zone.
