At 9:41 a.m, Twin Lakes Fire Department units are responding to Lakewood School for a gas odor in the building.

The windows in the school have been opened, but students and staff are still inside, dispatch says.

The odor may be coming from the boiler room, dispatch says. Earlier this week, the school was closed unexpectedly for two days for repairs to the boiler system caused by a power outage on Sunday.

UPDATE 9:45 a.m. — School is going to be evacuated, dispatch reports.

UPDATE 4:30 p.m. — Evacuation lasted 45 minutes. School cleared. More details here.
