Sheriff’s Department gives notice of sex offender release

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department is making notification of the release of convicted sex offender Edward B. Duty into Western Kenosha County.

Duty “fondled a 12-year-old female over and under her clothing while under the influence of alcohol and drugs,” a bulletin from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said. He was convicted on Aug. 11, 1992.

Duty, 50, was to be placed in the community Thursday, Dec. 6 after being released from prison. He will be residing within a mile radius of 32220 Geneva Road in Wheatland and has an active GPS monitoring system.

Duty is to comply with the supervised release rules, comply with requirements of lifetime Sex Offender Registration and is to comply with requirements of lifetime GPS.

Duty is not wanted by the Sheriff’s Department at this time.

“This notification is not intended to alarm the community, but rather it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community,” the Sheriff’s Department bulletin says.
