Bulldogs win Division AA Middleweight Super Bowl Championship

On Sunday, November 10, 2012, the Western Kenosha County Youth Football (W.K.C.Y.F.) Bulldogs won The Chicagoland Youth Football League (T.C.Y.F.L.) Big-10 Division AA Middleweight Super Bowl Championship. The Bulldogs defeated the previously unbeaten and number one seeded Mundelein Stallions by a score of 36-24. The championship game was played at Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois. In the game Adam Simmons ran for two touchdowns and caught a pass for an extra point conversion. Zack Christopherson also ran for a score and caught a pass for an extra point. Robert Brent ran for one score and caught a Kyle Gendron pass for a second touchdown. Brent kicked two extra points to round out the scoring. The Bulldogs ran all over the field behind an excellent effort by the offensive line. The Bulldogs knocked off the number two seeded Lake In The Hills Eagles 34-12 the previous weekend to earn the right to play in the Super Bowl. The Bulldogs finished the season with a 10 win and 2-loss record. Playing for the team is Nikolaus Lemke, Robert Brent, Romeo Brown, Jeremy Toro, Brandon Smith, Kyle Gendron, Michael Williams, Tyler Pitcher, Zach Strasser, Kevin Brenner, Cameron Wischnowski, Darin Bruski, Adam Simmons, Gabriel Hartke, Zack Christopherson, Josh Grimm, Noah Coleman, Trey Rowland and Jacob Gerzel. Bob Santelli is the head coach and is assisted by Rob Brent, Jay Bruski, Alex Christopherson, Terry Simmons and Jose Toro.
