Wilmot Union High School senior Sarah Vozel on Monday signed her national letter of intent to play basketball and attend Ashford University on a scholarship that will cover the cost of her tuition. Ashford is a NAIA school that is based in Clinton, Iowa. Sarah is on pace to earn 11 varsity letters in basketball, softball, volleyball and track while at Wilmot, and is also set to become only the third girl in Wilmot girls basketball history to reach 1,000 points in scoring. Besides her prowess on the court, Sarah also carries a 3.89 GPA and is ranked 11th in her class academically.
