Workshop on giving care for loved ones with dementia is Nov. 19

A Family Caregiver Workshop titled, “Your Loved-one has Dementia: What to do?”will take place Nov. 19 at the Westosha Community Center in Bristol.

The diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another type of dementia is life-changing and leads to many questions. Lynda Markut, MS, LCSW from the SE WI Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss: what is happening, what you need to plan for, and what you can do as you navigate this journey.

The workshop is hosted by: Alzheimer’s Association – Bristol Caregiver Support Group, Daybreak and the Kenosha County Aging & Disability Resource Center. Free respite is available and free refreshments will be provided.

Pre-registration is required. Please contact Kathy Ford at 605-6646 or 1-800-472-8008 by Nov. 12 to register for the workshop, and respite if needed. The workshop will take place Monday, Nov. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Westosha Community Center is located at 19200 93rd St., Bristol.
