At about 1:55 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue are responding to a report of black smoke in the area of the 6500 block of Highway B in Salem.
UPDATE 2 p.m. — Dispatch says a deputy on scene says trees are starting to catch fire.
UPDATE 2:03 p.m. — Fire personnel on scene and see smoke but not the source.
UPDATE 2:07 p.m. — Source of fire located. Firefighter at scene says it appears to be “what’s left of a garage.”
UPDATE — 2:15 p.m. — Grass rigs from Wilmot and Trevor stations being sent to the scene.
