Salem Grade School promoted Fire Prevention Week with the help of Salem Fire/Rescue during the week of Oct. 8.
Fierfighters were able to come in during the week and provide activities for students in grades 4K-8. Students were able to learn about fire prevention, take a walk through a smokehouse to practice their exit skills, learn how quickly a fire spreads, and participate in a poster contest to show proper fire prevention techniques.
Very nice article. I’d like to see more articles about this great school. They really have a great deal to offer children and their families.
