Units responding to crash on Highway 83 in Salem

At about 10:10 a.m., Salem Fire/Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash on Highway 83 in about the 10400 block in Salem.

Dispatch says a witness reported that a single car left the road at a high rate of speed. Air bags may have deployed in the vehicle.

UPDATE 10:12 a.m. – Fire department personnel on the scene reports that driver is not trapped, but appears to be unconscious.

  1. I was a witness to this accident. Does anybody know if the driver survived? Last I heard before they loaded him into the rescue squad was that he did have a pulse. But it still appeared they were giving chest compressions. Any updates???
