If you were out on Highway J just north of the county line yesterday you have seen more massed harvesting equipment at the Weis farm in Dover than you might have expected.

The turnout was for a community harvest undertaken to help the Russell Weis family get in the corn crop.

Russell Weis was seriously injured and his brother, Clayton, killed in an accident at the farm on Sept. 28.

As happens in the farm community when there is a need, on Thursday some 40 area farmers from Kenosha and Racine counties turned out to help the family with the harvest.

Here’s a story from journaltimes.com with more details.
