At about 4:05 p.m., Paris Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a crash at Highway 142 (Burlington Road) and Highway D south in Paris.
Dispatch reports that a car and a semi-tractor trailer are involved. Semi is rolled over and in the ditch; people may be trapped in car. There are reportedly at least four patients, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 4:31 p.m. — Additional ambulance being requested as mutual aid from Somers Fire and Rescue.
UPDATE 5 p.m. — Kenosha Fire Department meeting Paris ambulance for paramedic intercept.
UPDATE 10/4 — According to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report: The car in this crash was on Highway D and made a left turn onto Highway 142, where the truck was eastbound. The vehicles collided with the semi going off the north side of Highway 142 into the ditch and the car spinning and ending up facing south in the westbound lane of Highway 142. The 17-year-old driver of the car was cited for failure to yield right of way. There also was an 11-year-old passenger in the car. All three individuals were transported from the scene by ambulance for possible injuries.
