Western Kenosha County Historical Society to host walking history tours

Western Kenosha County Historical Society’s will conduct its first ever Walking History tours in Salem this October.

Anyone is welcome to contribute during the walk. Questions encouraged. They will start in daylight, end in dark. These will start off the Goblin Season, but these walks will not be scary.

The line-up is as follows:

  • Wilmot Walking Tour, Oct. 1, Monday. Arrive 5:15 p.m. at Peace Lutheran lot at Highway C and 306th Ave., Wilmot. Starts 5:30 p.m.
  • Trevor Walking Tour, Oct. 2, Tuesday. Arrive 5:15 p.m., at Western Kenosha County Historical Society parking lot at 260th Avenue at 114th Street. Starts 5:30 p.m.
  • Salem Walking Tour, Oct. 3, Wednesday. Arrive 5:15 p.m., west lot of Salem Fire Station, Highway 83 and 84th Street,  starts 5:30. Park at: Roots N Wings, Kmiec Law Offices,  Salon 83, Salem Auto Service.
  • Liberty Cemetery Walk (not scary) Oct. 4, Thursday.  Arrive at center cemetery entrance at 5:15 p.m., starts 5:30. Watch for flaggers.

The events are casual and routes are designed to be easy on wheelchairs too.

Donations to help the society would be willingly accepted.
