A man who robbed a Janesville bank Thursday resembles the man who robbed a Paddock Lake bank in July, the Rock County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.
The Paddock Lake incident occured on July 30. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said a man entered the Community State Bank at Highways 50 and 75/83 at about 2:30 p.m. and gave a teller a note saying he had a gun. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a small silver car across Highway 75 and into the parking lot of a neighboring gas station/convenience store before exiting that lot and heading west on Highway 50
In the Janesville incident, at 9:14 a.m., Rock County Deputies were dispatched to the First National Bank at 2636 South Highway 51, Rock Township, for a robbery that just occurred. Information was given out that the suspect left southbound driving a tan compact style car. As deputies were coming into the area, they were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Upon arrival at First National, investigation reveals that a white male who appeared to be possibly in his mid-twenties handed a teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed and the suspect left with an undetermined amount of money. The white male is described as possibly 5â€10-6â€0, approximately 250-275 lbs. The suspect was wearing a brown in color long sleeve sweater, blue jeans, black frame sunglasses and a tan colored woven style hat with an unknown emblem on front.
The desciption of the Paddock Lake robbery suspect is white male, about 5’10†to 6’0†in height and weighing about 225-260 pounds with blond or light brown hair and an approximate age of 18-25. Eye color is unknown. Surveilance photos from the Paddock Lake bank also the suspect wearing a similar hat to the Janesville suspect.
