Community service projects are helping to beautify or bring new conveniences to two Randall town facilities.
Recently, Eagle Scout candidate Bodey Kaskin cleared brush from the tree line and created a new landscaped area around the flag pole at Bassett Park. The Randall Town Board thanked him for his efforts at the board’s first meeting in August.
At that same meeting, Eagle Scout candidate John Lass received permission from the Town Board to place fishing line recycling stations at the boat launches at Bayview and the Department of Natural Resource in Powers Lake. The stations, which Lass will construct from PVC pipe, will be emptied periodically with the line fashioned into other products, like tackle boxes.
Among the requirements for achieving the rank of Eagle, the highest in Boy Scouting is performing a public service project, like those described above.

Congrats to both boys! Being an Eagle Scout is definitely an honor!
Congrats, what a great project!!!
