Gurnee man seriously injured in Bristol accident

A man making a delivery to a Bristol nursery was seriousily injured when his truck rolled over him this afternoon.

From a statement from Sgt. Bill Beth, Sheriff’s Department spokesman: Deputies responded with Bristol Rescue to the 1371500 block of Horton Road, in Bristol. A 41 year old man from Gurnee made a delivery to the nursery. When he arrived he was checking under the truck because he heard a strange noise while driving to the nursery. Apparently, the man forgot to set the parking break. The truck rolled over the man. He clung to the drive shaft of the truck while being drug 20-30 feet. The truck did come to rest on the man’s legs. A fellow worker drove the truck off of the man’s legs. The man appeared to have at least one broken leg and bruises on his torso. Flight for Life medical transport helicopter transported the man to Froedtert Medical Center in Milwaukee. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The man is not an employee of the nursery. Nothing criminal is suspected.
