At 6:03 p.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a fire at the Bristol Renaissance Faire on West Frontage Road in Bristol.
Dispatch reports that fire involved a turkey roaster. Faire personnel belief they have it under control, but they are requesting the fire department anyway.
UPDATE 6:09 p.m. — Pleasant Prairie Fire and Rescue also responding as mutual aid.
UPDATE 6:14 p.m. — Fire has now developed into a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System box alarm.
UPDATE 6:18 p.m. — Box alarm notification terming incident a box alarm now. Units responding from multiple fire departments including Salem Fire/Rescue, Paris Fire and Rescue, Wheatland Fire Department, Silver Lake Fire Department, Silver Lake Rescue, Antioch Fire Department, Gurnee Fire Department and Newport Fire Department.
UPDATE 6:20 p.m. — Deputy at the scene reports that fire is out. Fire department units are still responding.
UPDATE 6:25 p.m. — Dispatch tells a Salem Fire/Rescue unit to stand down as the box alarm is being struck.
UPDATE 6:26 p.m. — Bristol fire command strikes box alarm. All units still responding can return to quarters.
Is someone to blame for wasting all this money on the entire county responding to this call? Especially when it was thought to be out. I hope if my house ever catches on fire there are 10 departments that show up since I pay ridiculous insurance premiums. What a joke.
