Severe thunderstorm watch issued

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for a 13 Wisconsin counties including Kenosha County.

The watch will be in effect until 8 p.m.

The forecast puts the chance of rain at 90 percent this afternoon and tonight.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny with a high of 80 degrees.

UPDATE 3:17 p.m. — The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement with new info about the approaching storm. Radar indicates a strong line of storms from 12 miles south of Brodhead to 15 miles south of Beloit to 35 miles south of Beloit. The storms are moving mainly east to northeast at 50 mph. They are expected to arrive in the Twin Lakes-Randall area at about 4:11 p.m. In northern Illinois, 70 mph winds and penny sized hail have been reported.

UPDATE 3:55 p.m. — Thunder rumbles being heard in Paddock Lake, but no rain yet.

UPDATE 4:36 p.m. — Some wind, but just light rain in Paddock Lake.
