At about 8:15 p.m., Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue units are responding to a report of a crash at Highways F and FR in Salem.
Dispatch says the crash involves a single motorcycle.
UPDATE 8:17 p.m. — Dispatch reports to deputies that a witness says the driver is bleeding from the head, but fled the scene to the south on foot.
UPDATE about 8:25 p.m. — Deputies say driver is in a cornfield.
UPDATE 8:44 p.m. — Driver now is up with an ambulance at the crash scene.
