Daily Bloom: Still time to enter Fairest of the Fair

There’s not a lot of time left, but still some, for individuals interested in competing to be named Fairest of the Fair for this year’s Kenosha County Fair to submit their application.

To enter you must be:

  • A legal resident of Kenosha County for at least one year.
  • Single and childless while competing and if selected during tenure.
  • At least 18 years old on Jan. 1, 2012 but will not reach the age of 25 by Jan. 1, 2013.

Duties of the selected fairest of the fair and the court will be serving as ambassadors of the fair, including daily attendance and numerous presentations and ceremonies. Contestants must be available for judging on two dates before the fair and the run of the fair, Aug. 15-19.

Entries close July 27. Mailed entries must be postmarked by that date.
