The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Monday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The forecast calls for a high temperature of 102 with an even higher heat index.
There’s a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Monday night. After that, temperatures are expected to moderate somewhat, dropping in the 80s for the balance of the week.
