Units responding for burning in Bristol

At 10:53 a.m., Bristol Fire and Rescue and a sheriff’s deputy are responding to a report of a burning violation at Highway D and 93rd Street.

Dispatch says the burning is taking place behind a home.

Bristol is under an open burning ban due to dry conditions.

    I completely understand the premise of the burning ban. However, small campfires within a safe distance of combustable material should be allowed, provided it is monitored and there is a garden hose nearby.
