UPDATE 8:15 p.m. — Salem Fire /Rescue units and sheriff’s deputies are responding to a report of a tree on fire in the 9000 block of 270th Avenue in Salem. Two poles that were sparking appeared to set the tree on fire, dispatch reports.
UPDATE 8:25 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue responding to a report of sparking wires in the 26000 block of 52nd Street, Brighton.
UPDATE 8:40 p.m. — Twin Lakes police officer reports streets starting to flood in some areas.
UPDATE 8:43 p.m — Salem Fire/Rescue responding to Highway K and EW, just north of Paddock Lake, for a report of a blown transformer.
UPDATE 9:06 p.m. — Salem Fire/Rescue is responding to a report of a possible lightning strike at Silver Lake County Park. This was reported by a passerby who thought it was probably near the soccer fields.
