The National Weather Service has extended a severe thunderstorm watch for Kenosha County until 1 a.m.
At 8:32 p.m., deep and large puddles of water building up on I-94 have developed just north of Highway K and south of Highway 50, deputies report. Traffic has slowed to about 10 mph.
UPDATE 9:25 p.m. — Radar suggests that worst of storm is beyond the area, but rain may continue for a while. There’s another large storm system to the west along the Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin border.
