Paddock Lake will close 236th Avenue at Highway 50 in coordination with repairs scheduled for the state highway in coming weeks.
The closure will be temporary for the following days and times:
- Mon. July 16 from 6:30 am to 4 pm.
- Tues. July 17 from 6:30 am to 4 pm.
- Wed. July 18 from 6:30 am to 4 p.m.
- Mon. July 23 from 6:30 am to 4 pm.
- Tues. July 24 from 6:30 am to 4 pm.
- Wed. July 25 from 6:30 am to 4 pm .
During the closures, the county will be repairing sections of the east bound lane of Highway 50 from the top of the hill in front of Old Settlers Park to the top of the hill east of 236th Avenue. East bound traffic will be rerouted to the south lane of the west bound lanes (one lane in each direction). To prevent accidents the county and the state Department of Transportation have requested that 236th Avenue be closed, Tim Popanda, Paddock Lake village administrator said.
The county has agreed to place road closed signs and detour signs from 236th Ave north to Highway K. Popanda said he has informed the county that they must place road closed ahead signs all along 236th Avenue as well as detour signs from 236th Ave north to Highway K so as to inform village residents of the closure and detour.
Have they said what people are supposed to do if they have banking or medical needs along that road?
