MargaretAnn’s Place accepting applications for bereavement camp

MargaretAnn’s Place, Wisconsin’s Center of Hope for Grieving Children, is now accepting applications for Campers (ages 6-17) and Volunteers to participate in Camp Erin, a weekend, overnight bereavement camp to be held Aug. 24-26, in Lake Geneva.

Camp Erin is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education and emotional support for those children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them. MargaretAnn’s Place (MAP) provides support, education and awareness for children and their families who are grieving a death of a significant person in their lives. MargaretAnn’s Place, founded in Kenosha in 1998, is the largest multi-site children’s grief program in Wisconsin. Our Peer Support/Education groups are held throughout southeastern Wisconsin. MargaretAnn’s Place gives children and teens a safe place to express their profound feelings of grief. It creates a positive impact in their lives by encouraging them to develop lifelong coping skills which will assist them in creating a healthy and productive future.
