Local fire departments aiding with town of Burlington fire

At 1:45 p.m., Randall, Twin Lakes and Wheatland fire departments are responding to a box alarm call for mutual aid to the town of Burlington for a fire.

Twin Lakes is sending an engine, Wheatland a brush truck and Randall special equipment.

The fire is in a swamp in the 7200 block of Wheatland Road in the town of Burlington.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m. — Silver Lake Fire Department now being dispatched with a tender (tanker) truck.

UPDATE 1:52 p.m. — Twin Lakes engine being directed to respond directly to a home in the 29100 block of Bushnell Road to the north of the scene to protect a residence.

UPDATE about 4:30 p.m. — Kenosha County based units that were on the scene are beginning to return to quarters.
