Unless you enjoy sweating and grass as brown and crunchy as shredded wheat cereal, you have probably been hoping for some rain hereabouts any day now.
Earlier today there was a 70 percent chance of rain in the form of a thunderstorm tonight after 1 a.m. in the National Weather Service forecast.
Alas as of about 7:21 p.m., the chance of that rain has decreased in likelihood to 40 percent. The only upside is the time for that 40 percent has extended into tomorrow up to 1 p.m.
Temps will fall into the low 80s for the balance of the week and into Sunday.
Better plan on some time for watering the garden and flowers again.
