Recall was razor close in Kenosha County

Tuesday’s governor recall election was extremely close in Kenosha County on a percentage basis:

  • Democratic challenger Tom Barrett received 29,626 votes or 50.27 percent.
  • Republican incumbent Scott Walker received 28,921 votes or 49.07 percent.

Statewide, Walker retained his seat, the first governor in US history able to do so while the subject of a recall.
