Units responding for alarm in Twin Lakes

At 9:48 a.m., Twin Lakes Fire Department and village police officers are responding to an alarm in the 1000 block of Rosebud Avenue, Twin Lakes.

Dispatch says alarm is for fire and smoke.

UPDATE 9:49 a.m. — Alarm company has called to cancel response. Resident is on scene and says activation was accidental. Some units still responding to scene to confirm.

UPDATE 9:52 a.m. — Police officer on scene reports that there is no fire. Activation may have been due to iron being used by contractor to bond carpet.
