The Central Falcons put a major scare into the Bradford Red Devils Friday at Wavro Field. The Falcons opened up the scoring in the 3rd inning. After a Mike Michelau single to left center, Michelau advanced to second after a dropped third strike. He then came around to score from second when another dropped strike resulted in an errant throw resulted in the opening tally. Central rode the strong right arm of Dalton Sjong until the senior had to leave the game in the 6th after taking a pitch off his pitching hand while attempting a bunt. Bradford did even the score at 1 a piece in the 4th and then took advantage of the injury to Sjong to put up 7 runs on the Falcons in the bottom half of the 6th. Central could not muster a comeback against the strong pitching of Bradford.
